2013 All About Pink Annual Scholarship

Purpose of Scholarship

The purpose of our scholarship program is to provide support to families with college age students whose parents are suffering from Breast Cancer or who have succumbed to the disease. The scholarships are intended to provide financial assistance to those students who might otherwise be unable to obtain a college education.

Scholarship Description


The scholarships will be awarded to high school seniors or currently enrolled college students.

  • Each year the All About Pink Education Committee decides the number of scholarships that will be awarded. The committee’s decision is based upon available funds in the Scholarship Reserve Account.
  • A personal interview with each of the top finalists may be conducted as part of the selection process.
  • The scholarships are a one-time allotment of $1,000 per student and will be disbursed as follows:
  • $500.00 paid in August 2013 at the beginning of the fall academic term.
  • $500.00 paid in January 2014 at the beginning of the winter academic term – (student must successfully meet All About Pink’s award criteria and maintain academic status (GPA) requirement.

 

Qualifications for Award

**ILLINOIS RESIDENTS ONLY**

Applications for scholarship must be submitted by the student him/herself, including a photograph of the applicant (for publicity purposes only) to the All About Pink Education Committee on or before the application due date of March 25, 2013. Applicants must be a graduating high school senior or entering college freshman.

Applicants must be the natural, adoptive or step child of a Breast Cancer survivor or parent who has succumbed to Breast Cancer.
The scholarship requires a minimum Grade Point Average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or equivalent for each semester.
Exceptions to certain requirements may be made by the All About Pink Education Committee.
